Some images leave us with few options…run away screaming, share with all our friends or laugh out loud.
Although it’s been proven that the brain responds positively to beautiful images, people are also equally fascinated by the bizarre and unusual. Sure, life is full of aesthetically pleasing sights but our imaginations get a jolt when we stumble upon images that are very much the opposite of beautiful.
Like a deer in headlights, we can’t help but pause and stare.
Luckily for all of us, there exists a Facebook page just for those (nearly 3.5 million followers) who can’t get enough of the not-so-perfect things that happen in life. The group is called ‘Things that are not aesthetic.‘ Whether it’s an art project gone horribly wrong, or a hilariously hideous prank, their Facebook page doesn’t disappoint.
